For better start of the semester

• If you do the assigned readings, you should be good to go as far as starting your semester in Göttingen.
• If you are in first semester, take into consideration that you will have to choose at least one elective class to be selected in a list provided by the coordinators at the beginning of the semester. The first week, you can visit all of them and make your choice later by registering them on FlexNow (ECampus).
• Get acquainted with most of the online encyclopedia that Göttingen Universität has to offer texts suggested in the syllabus by the professors won’t be provided in class but simply referred to and you will have the responsibility to find them on your own.

For during the semester

• In Göttingen, you can expect that classes involve lots of discussion on the readings and you should have prepared yourself ahead of time in class.
• You can book working rooms on the campus (Lern- und Studiengebäude) and main library for group work or individually, however you have to proceed to the reservation online on your student space and you are highly recommended to respect the slots that you choose because being late when opening or locking the room will cost you a higher amount of points. The more points you have on your student card, the less opportunity you have to book working rooms in advance.
