Free time activities

• There is a university sports centre (BALUO) which is situated literally next to the dormitory Neredin 4. There you can go to the swimming pool, the gym (however, it’s quite expensive - 30 EUR per month) , sauna or visit group fitness sessions. Climbing, archery and many other activities are published on the website of sport centre of the UP (only in Czech).
• Don’t miss the opportunity to go to the National presentation every Thursday at Faculty of Biotechnologies to get familiar with other culture but also to taste national cuisine cooked by locals! It is probably best event organised by local ESN network.
• If you are there during easter, students have recommended the traditional celebrations in the Open Air museum.
• Some other recommended destinations for when the weather is nice include the Svaty Kopacek hill, the Podebrady lake and the Naklo lake. But also Propast Machocha and Moravský kras in general which are close to the Brno.
• If you need good English speaking barber, don’t hesitate to go to Does Barber Shop on Erbenova 2.
• Nice places to visit are also Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Hradec Kralove, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Karlove Vary, and of course Chráněná krajinná oblast Labské pískovce (Protected Landscape Area Elbe Sandstone Mountains).
