Research process
- In general, student accommodation is provided by the university and has a good value-for-money ratio, compared to other options in the city. Definitely student-recommend!
- The Uppsala Housing Office will send you an email before the starts of the semester, just make sure to do some research beforehand, so as soon as you got an email, you can apply right away ranging it according to priorities.
- Make sure to do your research before choosing your student dormitory, there are quite a few, but the most common ones that Euroculture students tend to choose are:
- Flogsta (suitable for people who likes to party and socially active but keep in mind that some corridors can be quite loud),
- Rackarbergsgatan (close to the campus and city centre, the best combination if you like some quite time but also still be able to meet international friends), and
- Klostergatan, 16 (the closest to city centre where you will have your own place including the kitchen and bathroom).
- Also, make sure to join one of the student nations, that way you can go to their parties, restaurants and cafe with the membership discount!
Living
- One quote about a dorm: “I think Flogsta is suitable for people who likes to be socially active and don’t mind the noises, because they have Flogsta scream every night at 10 PM and there are quite a few parties every week.”
